We were delighted that new member, Donna Sherwani, was inducted to our club at the meeting on August 6th. Donna was sponsored by Jama Farah and PDG Iven Mackay, officiated for the induction.
Our speaker at the meeting was Kelina Attard, a registered nurse, working for Bolton Clark Homelessness Program.
The Rotary Club of Footscray was delighted to host a successful fundraising barbecue in support of Victoria University’s Open Day, held on Sunday, 16 August 2026, at the Footscray Park Campus on Ballarat Road.
Throughout the day, our dedicated team cooked and served more than 1900 sausages, over 100 vegetarian sausages, and approximately 25 kilograms of onions.
This outstanding effort would not have been possible without the time, energy, generosity, and enthusiasm of our club members, volunteers, supporters, and attendees.
On July 2nd we farewelled Lenka after here year as an exchange student in association with the Rotary Club of Flemingrton.
She gave a great presentation highlighting aspects of her year, paying tribute to her host families and friends she had made during the year.
We welcomed Lenka's mother and brother who travelled to Australi for Lenka's last couple of weeks in Australia. befor returrning the Cechia.
