Our latest Exchange Student, Lenka, arrived from Czechia/Czech Republic on Sunday 13th and was met by her host family and Rotarians from the District Youth Exchange Committee and her host clubs of Flemington Kensington and Footscray.
Lenka is from Miroslav and sponsored by RC of Znojmo District 2240.
She has already had a taste test of Australian snacks and she ranked them in order of preference and interestingly placed Vegemite ahead of Twisties!
Lenka also tried a meat pie and she rated that up there with Fairy Bread.
She has enrolled at Mt Alexander College, got her uniform and a MYKI card!
At our meeting on the 24th Lenka introduced herself to us all and impressed us witth her fluency in English. We wish her well for her year in Australia.
