New Member - Elwyn Davies

We welcome Elwyn and look forward to his involvement in our club. Here is a brief profile of his professional and community experience.
Elwyn arrived in Australia in 1986 to start work at Footscray Hospital after a nursing recruitment drive from UK. Since that time he has worked almost entirely between Footscray and Royal Melbourne Hospitals. He describes himself as “semi” retired and lives in Footscray with wife Leanne. Over the years he had various community roles including a brief period as a member of the RC of Footscray in the 90’s, but having a young family and working full time did not give him much leeway for Rotary. As a local resident he has been involved in volunteering for local festivals and events, president of Footscray Riverside Action Group, (lobbying for improvements along the Maribyrnong), a member of the Community Consultative Committee for new Footscray Hospital, a member of the local ALP branch and about to become a JP.
He is pleased to be back as a member and contributing to our efforts locally and elsewhere.
