Meeting December 7th
Through the Footscray Rotary Aged Care and Community Services Fund (formerlyWRAC), a grant of $21,000.00 was made to the Yarraville Special Development School (YSDS).
Darcy Brennan introduced our guests from the school, Elaine Quinn, Principal, and Davina D'Menzie, vice principal. Elaine showed a video and spoke about the playground equipment purchased with the grant which proved vital during a redevelopment of the school site. Elaine and Davina presented a certificate of appreciation to the club.
Anita Meyer Pflug, our outbound Exchange Student spoke about her preparation for a year in Italy.
To demonstrate her language skills she gave some of her talk in Italian and was given the seal of approval by Vince Verducci. We wish Anita well for her year away beginning mid-January and look forward to hearing about her experience sometime in 2025.
