Meeting May 16th
For the third year now, the Rotary Club of Footscray has partnered with Mambourin Enterprises Ltd to present Awards to 3 employees at Mambourin in recognition of outstanding service to Mambourin. The Awards were conceived to assist in attracting and retention of quality workers in the particularly challenging workplace market in provision of disability services.
The Rotary Club of Footscray is committed to continuing this valuable partnership with Mambourin and looks forward to next year’
The awards were as follows, with an extract from the citation for the award:
Derek Gwamba (outstanding first year disability support worker)
“Derek is always engaging with his customers and making sure that everyone is involved …always putting in 110% into his programs to make sure that the customers have a great day and are constantly working towards their goals. Our hub would not be the way it istoday without him”.
Stephanie Santiago (outstanding long term disability support worker)
“Stephanie is a fantastic Facilitator and team leader …. always been one to put the person first and to listen and understand what they want and able to help them achieve this.
…has a fantastic way of communicating with families and puts her heart and soul into every program she participates in”.
Lucas Mifsud (outstanding supported employee)
“Lucas has a great attitude towards work and a great work ethic. He is eager to learn all jobs in the warehouse and is very flexible to where he works.”
It was a pleasure to be able to present each awardee with a certificate of recognition and an Award of $1,000.00, which is contributed equally by the Rotary Club and Mambourin.
