Golf Day
The Annual Golf day on April 19th,was held at Eynesbury Golf Course this year, due to rising costs at Sanctuary Lakes. We were well supported by Sponsors and Donations from far and wide, as well as from our members too. We had 56 players join in for a fun day and most I spoke to, enjoyed the day of relaxed golf (always better in a cart if you don’t have to walk!) and the food received favourable comments too. The winners on the day were Nick Parker, Ben Rogers, Tom Rogers, and Chris Petroro – a group of tradies who enjoy their golf.
Longest Drive was won by Caleb Chatelier (WPC Group) and Closest to the Pin was won by Pete Evans (The Plough).
Thanks to Rob Tripp, John Granger, Elwyn Davies and Fred Maddern who attended to help co-ordinate, on the day. Thanks to Elia for sorting the finances and getting a team together. Overall, with the golf registrations and associated raffle and donations, we managed to raise around $4000 for Footscray Rotary, which is a great effort.
