Caol's Mum 100!

Next >

Carol Castano’s Mum turned 100 on Sat 20th April.
The Collingwood Football club invited Ula to the Glasshouse for an exciting day last week.
First she was welcomed along with Carol and her two daughters and given a cup of coffee.
Then there was a meeting with Peter Moore, who sat and chatted to Ula for about 20 minutes, before being presented with a guernsey with her name and '100' on the back. Players met her individually and wished her HAPPY BIRTHDAY and there was a chat with club coach Craig McCrae before Darcy Moore, club captain, called all the players together and they sang Happy Birthday to her, much to all of everyone’s absolute delight.

Finally after we watching the players train for a while, Craig Kelly, Collingwood's CEO, took us on a guided tour of the Club's amazing facilities.
"Mum was treated like royalty!!" said Carol. She also received cards from King Charles. The Prime Minister, The Premier of Vic, The Gov. General of Australia and Gov. of Victoria and the local Federal and State MP's. We had a big family celebration on Sat with 100 family and friends.
"Now we are exhausted, and mum is fine!!!" reported Carol.
